DMD Cine Attic
While photography has always been a part of my life, cinematography, as is often the case for many new dads and moms, arrived with the birth of our first child. It felt like a natural — and very welcomed — extension of my visual creativity. Later I added a drone, a dedicated video camera and sound recording equipment to my photography outings. Most of my public videos are made to celebrate the beauty of nature.
Below are examples that showcase landscapes, intimate natural details, and ambient soundscapes intended to evoke the presence and calm I seek, along with a selection of our family short movies.

Vancouver’s North Shore holds countless hidden secrets, I’ve uncovered a tiny fraction over the years, yet most remain obscured and so the search continues. Each outing is a small exploration, scouting fog-filled forest has been deeply fulfilling and rewarding hobby of mine.
Testing slow motion settings for a music video, my son did all the running, rather tricky in this environment with a mask on . . .
Every summer is a blank picture frame that begs to be filled in. We had our family visiting for the summer after a difficult start of the year, this is some of what our summer was like. Big shout out to "Skarku and Tepsha", thank you for putting up with my silly ideas. By the way, Skarku's painting survived the salty water of the Pacific Ocean, who new those water colors are so resilient. Shot at Howe Sound, British Columbia, Canada.
I think I accidently planted an early "aviation bug" in my kids at age when they could hardly talk. I would occasionally stop by the airport to watch the "big metal birds", just to keep them occupied. My older son is now dreaming of becoming a pilot one day and keeps pestering me about going plane spotting. Don't get me wrong I'm fascinated by the these huge birds, just not a plane nerd for sure. All I knew back then when the kids were tiny was that one day I was going to attempt to make a YVR video, that time has come. This is made for my, now, teenagers ... well and for myself, as I just love making it :).
Our kids were lucky to spend the entire summer break in Europe with my parents and family. I joined them for the second half of the summer. My initial jet-lag messed up with my sleep routine and I would often wake up at ungodly hours just to discover my parents in their garden. One of the reasons, other than the fact that they simply love their garden and gardening, were the slugs that seem to love their garden just as much. An idea was born, this is my silly take on my home, parents, area I grew up at, and on Slovakia. Ohh yeah, The High Tatras are just as beautiful as ever.
